Forest Wildfire Prevention

Our Approach

We apply internationally recognized methods to reduce wildfire hazards while preserving the natural ecosystem:

  • Pruning & Cleaning – Removing dry branches, diseased trees, and excess undergrowth to prevent fire spread.
  • Forest Floor Clearing – Using specialized equipment to eliminate flammable vegetation and debris.
  • Mulching & Recycling – Processing organic material into mulch, which is repurposed for:
    • Compressed logs for sustainable home heating.
    • Pellets as efficient, eco-friendly fuel.
    • Cattle feed, reducing waste and supporting local farmers.

Community Benefits

  • Fire Safety: Reduces the risk of devastating wildfires.
  • Cleaner Air: Lowers CO₂ emissions by replacing diesel with renewable fuel alternatives.
  • Economic Value: Provides low-cost heating solutions and agricultural support.
  • Healthier Forests: Encourages biodiversity and long-term forest resilience.

Looking Ahead

This project is designed as a scalable model that can be implemented in forests across Lebanon. By combining environmental science with community needs, EcoVert is building a blueprint for wildfire prevention that benefits both people and nature.
