Driven by a passion for environmental protection, Abdo played a leading role in the planting of Mediterranean tree species to promote local biodiversity and ecological restoration. He also spearheaded the creation of an ecological trail in the Nahr El Kalb Valley, an initiative that highlights Lebanon’s natural heritage and encourages sustainable tourism.

Beyond his municipal work, Abdo serves as a Counselor to the Director General of the Ministry of Environment, where he contributes to national discussions on environmental regulation, conservation policy, and community-based sustainability programs.

Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Abdo brings a global perspective to his work while remaining deeply connected to Lebanon’s local communities and ecosystems.
