Ziad Awad is a seasoned executive with over four decades of leadership experience across the finance, retail, engineering, and renewable energy sectors. A graduate of Saint Joseph University in Beirut with an MBA in Finance (1975), he has built a distinguished career defined by strategic vision, financial acumen, and operational excellence.
Ziad began his professional journey at Deloitte, where he served as Audit Manager, gaining deep expertise in corporate governance, risk assessment, and financial management. His analytical mindset and leadership skills led him to executive roles in the banking industry, where he served as General Manager and Board Member, overseeing financial operations, investment strategy, and institutional growth. Ziad has gained expertise in institutional governance & compliance through years of accumulated experience.
Beyond banking, Ziad brought his management expertise to the retail sector, acting as General Manager and Board Member of a leading supermarket chain. There, he played a key role in business expansion, operational restructuring, and the implementation of efficient financial systems.
In recent years, Ziad has directed his focus toward engineering and sustainable infrastructure projects. As General Manager of an engineering firm, he has successfully led major projects including the installation of solar farms, the development of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, and the setup of a data center—projects that blend innovation, environmental responsibility, and economic development.
With a career bridging finance, management, and sustainability, Ziad brings to EcoVert a wealth of knowledge and a strategic perspective on how financial discipline and technical execution can work together to achieve long-term ecological and economic impact.
